From Harmon, the co-creator of Rick and Morty, the new adult animated series is set in Ancient Greece and follows a flawed family of mortals, gods, and monsters as they try to run one of the world’s first cities without killing one another. The show’s main voice cast includes Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy, Duncan Trussell, and Ted Lasso‘s Hannah Waddingham with a ton of recognizable voices making guest appearances.

Now, after the Krapopolis release date on September 24, The Wrap reports that Harmon’s new show has broken multiple viewership records. Krapopolis debuted as the most-watched animated series of the decade with 3.6 million viewers. The premiere also became the highest-rated entertainment program in the key demographic among adults 18-49 during the week of September 18-24, breaking a record set by the Family Guy premiere in 1999.

Every Ratings Record Broken By The Krapopolis Premiere

In addition to being the most-watched animated series to debut over the past decade, the Krapopolis premiere was also the most-watched original comedy telecast of the year, surpassing NBC’s Night Court reboot from January.
