A new DC Universe fan poster gives the Dark Knight the Spider-Verse treatment, featuring all the live-action versions of Batman together. One of the superheroes who has continuously gotten reimagined in the world of live-action is Batman, with multiple talented actors having portrayed him across film and TV. With the multiverse genre bigger than ever, there have been several superhero stories in the last decade where a character gets to meet their own doppelgängers from another universe.
However, Batman is sadly one of the iconic heroes who, despite having been depicted the most in live-action, has never come in contact with an alternative version of himself. To show what it could look like if every single live-action Batman actor joined forces, AGT Design designed a Spider-Verse-esque poster for the Caped Crusader, dubbed “Bat-Verse.”
The Bat-Verse poster features Robert Pattinson’s version of Bruce Wayne at the very top. Throughout the poster, Pattinson is surrounded by past Batman actors, from Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, George Clooney, and Michael Keaton to the late Adam West and Val Kilmer.
Is It Too Late For A Live-Action Batman Crossover Movie?
Despite working not one, but three Batman actors into the same film, The Flash movie didn’t take the opportunity to have any version cross paths with each other. At this point, the DCEU installment would have been the golden opportunity for Warner Bros. Discovery to have at least two of those actors share the screen for a minute or two, as Batman has never gotten to meet one of his own doppelgängers in previous DC media projects. If Keaton and Affleck’s Batman had been able to meet at any point, it would have been a major deal for the Dark Knight’s media legacy, especially with The Flash movie likely being the last time both actors play this character.

Even though Warner Bros. Discovery could always explore the idea of a live-action Batman multiverse movie, the clock is certainly clicking. A lot of the past Batman actors are getting older, and it will only be a matter of time before they can’t return to the DC role down the line. The second best option, at this point, would be if they do an animated DC movie with the actors voicing their respective versions of Batman. Warner Bros. Discovery could avoid having to deal with the heavy budgets that would come with doing it in live-action since animation has no limits.
Time will tell if a Bat-Verse project will happen at all, given that the new DC Universe is the primary focus for the studio as they are leaving the DCEU behind in favor of a fresh start. Once the DC Universe has gotten some time to breathe and establish itself, it wouldn’t be shocking if a Batman multiverse project became a future Elseworlds movie down the line. Needless to say, if there ever came a day when multiple versions of Batman joined forces, especially if it’s the live-action incarnations, that movie would definitely be one of the biggest things to happen in the comic book movie genre.
